Thank you for reminding us. Too often the environmental or sustainability issues get forgotten in the desire to be "green", never realizing the costs are sometimes much greater.

The best, easiest to implement and most cost effective answer is like you said, consume less. If people could just be mindful and lose the "I want what I want when I want it" attitude we could make a significant impact on lowering consumption.

This:

"While zero-net-energy and zero-carbon buildings are admirable goals and serve as important test beds for emerging technologies, there should be no confusion about the fact that smart design and careful application of off-the-shelf technologies offer the best near-term methods for reshaping our energy consumption patterns."

That's you saying in one sentence what I <a href="http://www.greenbuildingsnyc.com/2010/09/27/passive-resistance-new-york-times-on-americas-sluggish-passive-house-movement/" rel="nofollow">took 1200 words to kind of say at gbNYC</a>.
How Are You?

It's an easy day today at work and I have time to surf the net. I was looking on concrete and construction articles and Googled your website. I enjoy it, it's nice and I also like the way you write your articles.

Definitely it's a pleasant surprise and I'm glad Google pointed to your direction.
